Features
The SPP2’’-RSS is supplied as follow :
- Pneumatic Pump SPP2’’ : This automatic pump with an internal float is designed for pumping
water, oil and all aggressive liquids.
- Skimmer RSS, made up with an oleophilic and hydrophobic membrane « SILMEM™ » which is able
to recover free floatable hydrocarbons (LNAPL) such as gazole, unleaded petrol...
Operating instructions
The RSS Skimmer is mounted at the top of the SPP2’’ pneumatic pump.
The membrane « SILMEM™ » catches the LNAPLs which go down by gravity inside the SPP2’’
pump.
When the pump is full, the internal float opens the compressed air and discharges contaminated
liquid to the surface.
The active skimmer can then start a new cycle.
Fully automatic, the SPP2’’-RSS can be used in depths as deep as 40 meters and inside a min 50
mm (I.D.) piezometer. The equipment can also start and stop automatically, when there is no more
liquid inside the pump.
